Teacup Pomeranian for Sale in Utah

Are you searching for a teacup pomeranian for sale? Please beware of breeders using the term “teacup” when advertising a pomeranian! This is often a dead give away that you are dealing with a scammer. An ethical, reputable breeder will breed toward the pomeranian standard, which is 3-7 pounds. This is decided by our parent club; The American Pomeranian Club. No legitimate breeder will ever use the term “Teacup Pomeranian” when advertising a puppy.

We will produce puppies in the 3-4 pound range at adulthood on occasion. If you are interested in a very small pomeranian, be prepared to wait on a waiting list as breeders do not just produce these puppies all the time. Tiny females will generally need expensive c sections and often have 1-2 puppies. Teeny tiny pom puppies (those who are 3-4 pounds at adulthood) may struggle to thrive as babies and need to be tube fed. They will also need to stay with their mom for longer, and need the breeder to be extra attentive as they are prone to hypoglycemia, which can be deadly.

Small Pomeranians who are under 3 pounds at adulthood may struggle with hypoglycemia, possibly heart issues, trachea issues, and they may not be able to use stairs or do normal “dog things”. An ethical breeder would never produce a dog this small on purpose. If you are looking for a “Teacup Pomeranian for sale”,  please find an ethical breeder and let them know that you would like a pomeranian on the smaller side of the standard. These tiny dogs do pop up in well-bred litters. We do not recommend an extremely small pomeranian for first time dog owners, homes with small kids, and homes with large dogs.

On the topic of size, Yes, you see pomeranians everyday who are much bigger than the breed standard, but for the most part this should not be the norm! Huge Pomeranians who are 15+ pounds are generally the result of careless or irresponsible breeders. If you would like to learn more about these “Throwback Pomeranians” you can read our blog on that here. Ethical, reputable breeders will be considerate of the pomeranian breed standard, and try to breed as closely to it as possible. As breeders, We will sometimes produce Pomeranians who are slightly bigger or smaller than the breed standard size, but for the most part we aim for 3-7 pounds.

I focus my breeding program on soundness, health, and temperament first. All of my dogs are within our breed standard of 3-7 pounds with most being around 5-6 pounds. We cannot guarantee the adult size of your puppy but we can make an educated guess once your puppy is about 8 weeks old. We are always 100% transparent with our dogs (size, health, etc.) when making a sale. I want you to be happy with your puppy.
